Accused of Homicide.

A cobra, who lived for decades in a pipe, was summoned to court, puzzled the cobra along with a group of reptilians attend the session.

At the hearing, an attorney questioning the cobra declared that they had evidence linking him to homicide, that he was actually responsible for the use of toxic venom, in the death of three individuals, culpable homicide.

A cobra held for homicide? Laughed the public, press and the judiciary. Eventually the case was dismissed and with the influence of the DNR, snakes were declared a special protected status , independent of any accidental fatal interactions with members of the human species.

Crime is never committed by wildlife, as they simply lack a motive to harm humans, a crime is always committed only by a member of the human race , leading to an apology by humanity, for targeting wildlife for sport or trophies.
